International Medical Technologists (MT- ASCPi) Training Program
-
To achieve the highest level of quality services, we should have the qualified persons trained with the latest advanced techniques in clinical and chemical pathology.
-
So, we started the first educational program of ASCP MT (International Medical Technologist) with AUC (American University in Cairo) to educate the chemists and technicians with the most important information in the fields of hematology, chemistry, microbiology and blood banking in addition to the practical training of those candidates inside our laboratories on the all technical points.
WHAT IS ASCP?
-
The American Society of Clinical Pathologists was founded on May 1922 by many physicians to achieve high level of quality for clinical pathology.
-
Over the years, the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) has been recognized as the preeminent organization for continuing education in pathology and laboratory medicine.
-
The American Society for Clinical Pathology is comprised of over 130,000 medical professionals including laboratory technicians, medical technologists and pathologists.
Goal of ASCP
-
Its goal is to “achieve greater scientific proficiency in clinical pathology, and to maintain the status of clinical pathologists on an equal plane with other specialists.”
-
Its goal is already accomplished by offering educational programs and seminars and a board of certification.
Types of Certification
-
The ASCP offers a variety of certifications that are separated into categories like general, specialist and categorical certifications.
-
Examples of international ASCP certifications include;
a. Technicians
