Precautions and Preparation

For female patients, the test should be performed on the 2nd or 3rd day of the menstrual cycle.
Please confirm the duration of hormone therapy and the date of the last dose.
Please inform the physician of the duration and dosage of any thyroid medications you are taking.
If you are taking testosterone therapy, please inform the receptionist or physician before sample collection.
Fast for 6-8 hours and do not take insulin prior to the test as instructed.
