Precautions and Preparation
Please inform the receptionist or physician if you have recently taken iron treatment or undergone a blood transfusion.
Fasting for 6-8 hours is required; water is allowed.

Fast for 6-8 hours, then eat breakfast. The test should be performed 2 hours after starting the meal. Continue taking your diabetes medications as prescribed.
If you are taking blood-thinning medication, please inform the receptionist or physician of the medication name, dosage, and duration of use.
Please inform the physician of the duration and dosage of any thyroid medications you are taking.
It is preferable to provide the first morning urine sample. Discard the first portion in the toilet and collect the remaining urine in the laboratory container.
