Precautions and Preparation
Please inform the physician of the duration and dosage of any thyroid medications you are taking.
Please inform the technician if you have recently undergone a blood transfusion and provide the date of the most recent hemolytic episode at the time of sample collection.
For female patients, the test should be performed on the 21st day of the menstrual cycle.
